Lonesome Creeks Ranch is a registered
Angus ranch and crop production farm located near the Snake River in
Southern Idaho. Started in 2012, the ranch is operated by Dan Hill
with much needed help coming from his father Steve and brother Tim.
Currently we run 15 head of registered cattle on 130 acres of combination
irrigated and dry-land pasture. Our goal is to breed moderate framed
and efficient cattle with excellent carcass traits and weaning values.
The farm consists of 135 acres on the ranch and 103 acres west of Buhl.
Irrigation runs the gamut with siphon tubes, gated pipe, wheellines,
handlines, and pivots. We grow Coors barley, Seneca sweet corn, and
dry beans. Alfalfa hay is sprinkled into the
rotation, often overseeded with oats.
